SPICE ISLANDS Lemon Peel
We use only the thin outer layer of tree-ripened lemons. Substitute Lemon Peel wherever fresh peel is desired. Add Lemon Peel to cake batter and quick breads. Saute vegetables in olive oil flavored with Lemon Peel and Minced Garlic. Its tart, citrus zing brightens baked goods, seafood, marinades and more. Use it whenever a recipe calls for lemon zest, substituting equal amounts of dried lemon peel to fresh.
