Castle Rock Zinfandel, Dry Creek, 2002
Our Castle Rock Zinfandel was produced with grapes harvested from some of the finest Zinfandel growing regions in California, where the warm daytime temperatures and cool evenings make an ideal climate for this varietal. The Zinfandel grape is thought by many to be a California native, but its origin is somewhat shrouded in mystery. This supple Zinfandel boasts an invitingly rich ruby hue and bursts with red fruit aromas. The concentrated core of blackberry and ripe cherry flavors is round and lush with a hint of pepper and light vanilla oak. All of these complex flavors unfold into a long and beautifully balanced finish. A great accompaniment to grilled meats, pasta dishes, and an assortment of cheese, this castle Rock Zinfandel is ready to drink now and will continue to improve through 2006. Alcohol 14% by Volume.
